Stoughton man involved in crash faces 5th drunken driving charge

A Stoughton man faces his fifth drunken driving offense after reportedly being involved in a single-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon, according to a release.

Dane County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a single-vehicle non-injury crash in the 1600 block of Hawkinson Road in the town of Dunn just after 12:30 p.m.

Deputies said the driver, Jerold D. Hansen, 54, was arrested on a tentative fifth-offense operating a motor vehicle while under of the influence of an intoxicant after field sobriety tests were administered.

Hansen is being held in the Dane County Jail on the felony charge.
