A Stoughton man is facing charges for his seventh OWI after he was found passed out in his car Saturday afternoon, deputies said.
The Dane County Sheriff’s office was called to Bass Lake Road near County Highway A in the town of Rutland at 4 p.m. after a motorist reported seeing a vehicle pulled over on the side of the road.
The driver, 41-year-old Christopher Thorland, was found passed out behind the wheel.
After field sobriety tests, Thorland was arrested on a felony OWI charge and booked into the Dane County jail. He was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.
