Stevens Point wins at Whitewater, 75-69

Nate Dodge scored 20 points to lead Stevens Point to a 75-69 win over Whitewater in a WIAC men’s basketball game in Whitewater Wednesday night.

Whitewater had a 14-point lead in the first half and an eight point advantage at halftime, but the Pointers shut down the Warhawks offense in the second half.

Dodge, who’s sister M.E. plays for the Wisconsin Badger volleyball team, scored 15 in the second half, including five three-pointers. MJ Delmore added 19 for the Pointers.

David Sachs, Mitchell Pfeifer and Andre Brown led Whitewater with 13 points each.

Stevens Point remained undefeated in the WIAC with a 5-0 record.

Platteville defeated Oshkosh 72-59 in Platteville, so the Pioneers are alone in second place (5-1), with Whitewater and Oshkosh now 3-2 in conference play.
