Steven W. Mueller
Steven W. “Steve” Mueller, age 56. of Cobb, died on Monday, February 5, 2017 at U.W. Hospital due to complications with his lung transplant.
Steve was born on March 11, 1960 in Dodgeville to Raymond and Alice (Cornish) Mueller. He was a 1978 graduate of Iowa-Grant High School where he was a very accomplished wrestler. He married Laurie Richardson of Platteville on February 16 1991. A hard-working farmer, Steve enjoyed tending to the Mueller Family Farm especially planting and combining. He was a very good cattleman who enjoyed going to cattle sales and was an avid antique collector and vendor. An exceptional familyman, Steve always made time for weekly family outings and yearly family vacations.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Mueller and his mother-in-law, Sharon Richardson.
Steve is survived by his wife, Laurie of Cobb; three sons, Travis Mueller, Tyler Mueller and Ben Reuter, all of Cobb; his granddaughter, Aubrey Reuter; his mother, Alice Mueller of Cobb; his brother, Thomas (Nancy) Mueller of Dodgeville; his sister, Kerry (Ed) Gratz of Darlington; his father-in-law, Harvey Richardson of Hazel Green; his brother-in-law, Jeff (Kathy) Richardson of Platteville; his sister-in-law, Vickie (Dan) Hibner of Platteville; his “adopted brother” Randy Zinck of Salt Lake City, UT as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home, Dodgeville on Saturday February 11, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. until 3;00 P.M. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 P.M. with Mike Mueller officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Cobb Community Center In lieu of flowers, memorials will be used to create a Steven Mueller Ag Scholarship at Iowa-Grant High School.
