News Producer - WISC-TV is actively searching for a News Producer to lead our hour-long Live at 4:00 newscast. Our ideal candidate will be highly motivated in producing a non-traditional afternoon news program and will have creative skills to produce entertaining and engaging lifestyle and current event segments. In addition to assembling a traditional news segment, you will also set up daily guest segments and scheduled feature packages with our two anchors.
We need a leader who can take responsibility for the overall direction of this unique program and will also be incredibly flexible to change the program as news events warrant.
Our ideal candidate is a creative thinker with excellent news judgement who can deliver relevant and interesting stories every day. You need to be able to write clearly for multiple platforms, including our website. Social media proficiency is required.
We prefer applicants with at least two years of producing experience and a college degree. A writing test is required

WKBT News 8 is hiring part-time Floor Crew Members for our Morning (4:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.) and Noon (11:15 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.) newscasts. We will train the right applicants to run teleprompter, studio cameras, and generate on-air graphics. Hours per week range from 20-30. This a great entry-level opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in broadcasting or is willing to learn multiple skills required to work behind the scenes in a fast-paced environment.
