State Patrol: Driver found blocking lane by damaged I-90/94 guardrail faces 4th OWI
LAKE DELTON, Wis. — A driver who crashed his car on Interstate 90/94 on Monday afternoon is facing his fourth drunken driving charge, officials said.
The Wisconsin State Patrol said troopers responded at about 3:30 p.m. to a report of a single-vehicle crash on west I-90/94 just east of Lake Delton.
According to the report, troopers found 54-year-old Terry L. Anderson, of Janesville, in a car that was blocking the right lane and pointed the wrong way. A section of guardrail was severely damaged.
Troopers detected a strong odor of intoxicants coming from Anderson, who admitted to troopers that he’d been drinking earlier, State Patrol said.
Anderson performed field sobriety tests and was arrested on suspicion of fourth-offense operating while intoxicated and operating after revocation.
Anderson was taken to Sauk County Jail, officials said.
