MADISON, Wis. - The "world's game" will soon be in Madison's backyard.
Breese Stevens field announced Thursday a professional soccer club is coming to the facility in 2019.
The team will be a part of a new division 3 league.
The announcement comes after the Common Council approved a new use agreement with big top events on Tuesday.
Included in that deal was $1.3 million from the city for soccer-related facility improvement and additional seating bringing capacity up from 2,800 to 5,000.
Season ticket packages will start at $238.
