MILWAUKEE - Bucks general manager John Hammond is leaving the team to take the same position with the Orlando Magic. It's reportedly a five-year deal.
The Bucks hired Hammond in 2008, and he was the NBA Executive of the Year for the 2009-10 season.
Hammond had an up and down tenure in Milwaukee. The Bucks made just four playoff appearances in his nine full seasons, but he drafted emerging superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2013 and Rookie of the Year finalist Malcolm Brogdon before this past season.
The Deer had a record of 315-463 under Hammond.
Milwaukee assistant GM Justin Zanik is expected to be promoted to GM.
