Michigan State downs Badger women's basketball, 69-61

Howard's career high 28 not enough

EAST LANSING, MI - Michigan State defeated Wisconsin in a Big Ten women's basketball game in East Lansing, 69-61 Wednesday night.

Taryn McCutcheon scored 16 points and Jenna Allen had 14 points and nine rebounds to lead the Spartans (16-12 overall, 6-9 Big Ten) to their 12th straight win over the Badgers (9-20 overall, 2-14 Big Ten).

Marsha Howard had a career high 28 points along with 11 rebounds for Wisconsin.

Cayla McMorris had 15 points for the Badgers.

Wisconsin's next game will be in the Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis next Wednesday.
