MADISON - Luke Reader rushed for 185 yards and three touchdowns to lead Bangor to a 37-14 win over Black Hawk in the WIAA Division 7 state football championship at Camp Randall Stadium Thursday.
Sophomore Carter Horstmann added 144 yards rushing and three touchdowns for the Cardinals who also won the title in 2015.
Black Hawk fell behind 16-0 in the opening moments but closed to within 16-14 on a one-yard touchdown run by Brody Milz
Milz tied a WIAA Division 7 record recording 20 tackles on defense.
Horstman scored from 16 and 15 yards, and Reader closed the scoring with a 9-yard TD run.
Bangor finished the season with a perfect 14-0 record. Black Hawk ends at 13-1.
