A Lomira man was killed early Thursday morning in a crash, according to a release from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called at 2:05 a.m. to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Richard Street near Maple Street in Lomira.

Investigators said a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer was southbound on Richard Street when it left the road and struck a snowbank. It struck a fence and overturned, ejecting the 25-year-old driver.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County medical examiner. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. There were no passengers in the vehicle.

Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors in the crash, according to the release.
