Snow expected to affect traffic Friday
1 to 4 inches of new snow expected
MADISON, Wis. — A couple inches of light snow are expected to cause some travel delays in southern Wisconsin Friday.
Forecasters are calling for 1 to 4 inches of light snow to fall throughout the day. Slightly higher amounts are possible northeast of Madison and less snow is expected closer to the Illinois border.
Winds will be light, but roads might still be slippery and visibility might be reduced.
At 7 a.m. traffic issues were reported on Interstate 39/90 north of Madison. At 7:45 a.m. a rollover crash with injuries was reported in Columbia County just north of the Wisconsin River bridge.
Snow is expected to taper to flurries Friday night and continue into Saturday with little additional accumulation.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 3 a.m. Saturday for Marquette, Green Lake and Dodge counties.
