Marquez and Nathan Green, are both Madison natives and University of Wisconsin–Madison class of 2020 graduates. This year marks their third appearance on the show, the brothers competed on Seasons 11 and 13 of the show already. The two, who call themselves the “Wisco Twinjas,” made it to the semi-finals last year, where both were disqualified.
“It means the world to compete on the show we watched growing up as kids,” says Marquez Green.
The Marquez twins first set out to compete to honor their late mother, who they lost to breast cancer at an early age. “Being able to do this for ourselves and live out a childhood dream as well as honoring our mom is amazing,” says Marquez Green.
Jay Flores, a UW–Madison class of 2012 graduate, will compete for the first time, after trying for 10 years. Alexander Siy, a Milwaukee-native who graduated from UW–Madison in 2016, will make his debut on the course this season.
Azpeitia-Breunig of Waunakee is returning for her second time. Copeland of Madison will make her first attempt on the course.
