Sister: Sikh temple shooter had alcohol problems
New details on the Sikh Temple shooter
MILWAUKEE, Wis. — A sister of the man who killed six Sikh worshipers before shooting himself tells investigators he had a history of alcohol problems.
The sister was quoted in an investigation report released Tuesday by the Milwaukee County medical examiner’s office.
She told investigators that Wade Michael Page seemed bloated over the past few months, and she wondered if he had been drinking recently.
Toxicology reports are still pending.
The sister also noted that Page’s demeanor had changed over the past year. She said he’d become more intense and apparently lost his wit and sense of humor.
Page opened fire at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin in Oak Creek on Aug. 5. He killed six people and injured four others before shooting himself.
His death has officially been ruled a suicide.
