Silver Alert: Woman missing for hours without shoes, medication
ARBOR VITAE, Wis. — Officials are looking for help finding a woman who has been missing for hours without shoes in northern Wisconsin.
The state Department of Justice issued a Silver Alert for 78-year-old Marylee Hovland, who was last seen in Vilas County Tuesday morning.
Officials said Hovland was last seen at 9 a.m. She left her home in Arbor Vitae without shoes, her purse or medications. She left in a 2010 Ford Fusion Silver with Wisconsin plate 944TSN.
She may be headed to Indiana or Michigan, according to the alert. Hovland has wandered off on foot in the past, and in that instance, was found about 50 miles southeast of her home near Crandon.
Hovland is described as white, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds. He has gray hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue shorts, but no footwear.
