Silver Alert issued for missing Poynette man
POYNETTE, Wis. – A Silver Alert has been issued for a Poynette man who went missing on Christmas.
According to a message from the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network, neighbors said they saw Kenneth R. Nelson, 68, leaving his apartment complex at 202 Hillside Terrace at around 6:30 p.m. Authorities said he never returned home and left his cellphone at his apartment.
Officials said that, while he does have a medical pendant, the batteries have died and they are unable to ping his phone or contact him through the pendant.
Nelson is 5 feet tall, and weighs 200 pounds and blue eyes, short gray hair and a full-face beard.
He also has a scar on his abdomen that is 2-3 inches, as well as scars on both calves that are about 2 inches long.
According to an updated message from WCAN, he was last seen wearing a red Santa jacket and an orange bomber hat.
Nelson drives a silver Chevrolet Impala with the Wisconsin license plate 775RAX.
