Silver Alert cancelled Marquette County man
OXFORD, Wis. — A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Marquette County man has been cancelled.
Myers was found safe with his dog in Racine county Thursday night.
Dale Myers, 78, was last seen at a home on Elk Ave. around 5 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities said he left the home with his dog Ginger, a 12-year-old black lab.
Authorities with the Wisconsin Department of Justice said Thursday night that Myers was recently spotted in Mayville, but didn’t provide any further details.
Police describe Myers as 5 foot 6 inches tall, around 150 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde and gray hair. He was last seen wearing black pants, a blue polo shirt and a camo-colored baseball hat. He relies on a cane to walk.
Authorities said Myers drives a silver 2019 Honda Ridgeline with Wisconsin registered plates of GY3385. It also has a “David Hobbs Honda” license plate holder.
Myers recently got lost while driving in the Wisconsin Dells area, according to the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office.
Family members said Myers is known to visit fast food restaurants like the Arby’s in Westfield and the Culver’s in Portage and Wisconsin Dells. Family members said Myers recently lost his son and wife and is lonely.
