Silver alert: 70-year-old man with possible cognitive disability, dementia missing

Officials have released a silver alert looking for a 70-year-old man who was recently released from jail and missed a court date Friday.

James L. Demeuse, 70, was released from jail Oct. 20, but no family picked him up and he left on foot. He was reported missing and the family told police that Demeuse has dementia or a cognitive disability, officials said.

There have been unconfirmed possible sightings of him in the area of Pell Lake Drive and U.S. Highway 12, in the town of Bloomfield. There is also a report that he was possibly observed at the De Jope Casino in the Madison area, according to officials.
