Shots fired from cars at intersection, police say
MADISON, Wis. — Witnesses reported seeing a black handgun being fired by someone inside a green, older-model car at a black car at the intersection of Seminole Highway and Beltline Frontage Road on Tuesday around 4 p.m., according to officials.
Police received multiple calls reporting a vehicle shooting at another vehicle near the intersection, according to a release from the Madison Police Department.
Witnesses reported that the vehicles fled the area at a high rate of speed. Officers responded and began searching for the involved vehicles and persons, officials said.
Officers located six bullet casings at the scene, according to the release.
Police were not able to locate the vehicles, according to officials.
At this time, police do not believe there were any victims, but the investigation is ongoing.
