Shirley Ann Paul
Shirley Ann Paul, passed away with her family by her side on February 18, 2017, at the Sauk Prairie Health Care Center.
Shirley, the daughter of Laurence and Helen Diehl Paul, was born in Dodgeville, Wis., on November 5, 1930. During her lifetime, she was employed at the Sauk City Creamery and Alamet, Inc, Baraboo, Wis. Once she retired, Shirley began volunteering for the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Sauk County, helping at the Nutrition Site in Sauk City for thirteen years. She was a member of Saint Aloysius Catholic Church and Royal Neighbors. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, making crafts, singing and listening to music, watching old movies, collecting stuffed animals, and visiting with friends. Most of all she enjoyed her cat companions, Leo and BJ.
Shirley is survived by her sister, Doloris Dickson, and nieces and nephew: Paula Dickson, David (Pam Eberhardt) Dickson, Sharon (Richard Alt) Dickson, Debra (Steve Doyle) Dickson. Grand nieces and nephews: Andrea Clausen, Marc Clausen, Tracy Dickson, Steve Kaminski, Ryan Alt, Daniel Dickson and Laurence Dickson. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law, Bob Dickson, and nephew, Tim Dickson.
A private Mass of Christian Burial was held on February 21, 2017, at Saint Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City, Wis., with Reverend John Blewett officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Shirley’s family would like to thank the staff of the Pines Assisted Living, Prairie du Sac, Wis., for the loving and supportive care she received during her three-year residency.
