Shirley Ann Meyer
MADISON – Shirley Ann Meyer, age 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, November 18, 2012, surrounded by family at Agrace HospiceCare, Fitchburg. She was born on March 22, 1938 in Rangeline, WI to Ida and AntoneRiehle. Shirley lived most of her life in the Madison area. She had a real passion for playing music, playing Scrabble and working jigsaw puzzles. Shirley battled mental illness for most of her adult life but nonetheless was an incredibly caring and devoted mother to her four children. Shirley was always a very strong and resilient woman.
Shirley is survived by her children, Llen, Linda LaBerge, Kendall and Greg (Allison); grandchild, Ashton LaBerge; siblings, Victor (Maria) Riehle, Richard Riehle, George (Sue) Riehle, Tom (Kathy) Riehle, Sharon (Ned) Fine, Frank (Barbara) Riehle, Bill Riehle and Archie (Ann) Riehle; sister-in-law, Velma Riehle. She is further survived by many other family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Harry and Fred Riehle.
Memorial service will be held at CITY CHURCH, 4909 East Buckeye Road, Madison, at 11:00AM on Monday, December 3, 2012 with Pastor Joel Alberti. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00AM until time of the service on Monday.
A special thanks to the staff at Tellurian for their many years of support. The staff at Harmony House Assisted Living along with Agrace HospiceCare helped make Shirley’s last several months as comfortable as possible.
