MINERAL POINT – Sherman Lee Sporle, age 83, of Barneveld, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at home.

Sherman, otherwise known as the “Shermanator” was truly one of a kind. He had a heart of gold, was one heck of a storyteller, and always had a smile on his face. Sherman enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and his great-granddaughters. He loved his dogs, Ollie and Buffie, and to “crack a cold one.” One of Sherman’s famous lines he told his girls was to “be safe and careful.” He was definitely a ray of sunshine and had a heart-warming effect on all those he loved.
Sherman is survived by his son, Randy Sporle; granddaughters, McKenzie (Garrett) and Tia; great-granddaughters, Paisley and Charlie; two special daughters-in-law, Lori Nechkash and Amy Anderson; as well as two stepsons, Mike Anderson and Dennis Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Lou Sporle; stepchildren, Jane Anderson and Doug Anderson; and brothers and sisters.
A private graveside service will be held.
