Midwest Horse Fair returns this weekend for the first time since 2019 — and so will the traffic

MADISON, Wis. — The Midwest Horse Fair will return to the Alliant Energy Center for the first time since 2019 this weekend, and with it will come traffic.

Dane County Sheriff’s officials warned drivers to expect significant delays along the Beltline, John Nolen Drive and Rimrock Road between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Spectators and exhibitors will be heading to the Alliant Energy Center during the peak of the morning commute, and officials expect heavy traffic on the Beltline in both directions.

Officers will direct traffic at the main gate of the Center, the Rimrock Road/Rusk Avenue intersection and the John Nolen Drive/Rimrock Road intersection. There will also be sign along the Beltline to help drivers.

Drivers are asked to avoid the Beltline near the Park Street, Rimrock Road and John Nolen Drive exits on Friday.
