Sheriff’s office looking for two people following high-speed chase
Pursuit ended when car struck a stoplight
MIDDLETON, Wis. — Dane County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for two people following a high-speed chase early Friday morning in Middleton.
The incident happened near County Highway M and County Highway Q around 12:30 a.m. Friday.
According to the sheriff’s department, a deputy attempted a traffic stop of a car going 85 mph in a 45 mph zone on County Highway M near Signature Road in Middleton. When the deputy attempted to stop the car, it sped up and a pursuit ensued for about one minute.
Sheriff’s officials said the pursuit ended when the car hit a stoplight at County Highway M and County Highway Q. Deputies said three people left the car on foot, and one of them was taken into custody. Efforts to find the other two people in the car were unsuccessful.
