Sheriff’s office investigating woman’s death in NE Dane County
TOWN OF YORK, Wis. — The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a woman’s death in the northeastern part of the county.
In a news release, the sheriff’s office said deputies responded to a home on York Center Road in the town of York around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The county’s medical examiner’s office conducted an autopsy on the woman’s body on Wednesday.
Wednesday evening, they identified her as 39-year-old Dora Gonzales Zarate of Marshall. Preliminary autopsy results are pending.
“Sheriff’s investigators worked through the night canvassing the rural area and conducting interviews,” the sheriff’s office said. “Deputies are continuing to collect evidence and process the scene.”
Neither agency provided further details about how the woman died.
