Sheriff’s deputies investigate armed robbery in Arena

An armed robbery at a convenience store in Arena Monday morning has sheriff’s deputies looking for two men.

The incident happened just after 10:30 a.m. Monday at the BP One Stop in the 300 block of Village Edge Road in Arena.

According to sheriff’s officials, a man entered the store, displayed a handgun, and left with an undisclosed amount of money. Deputies said the man got into a small, black Chevrolet pickup truck and left.

Deputies said they are searching for a black man wearing a black suit, white T-shirt and white athletic shoes. There was no description of the getaway driver. Anyone with information is asked to call Iowa County Crime Stoppers at 608-935-9000 or the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department at 608-935-3314.
