Sheriff identifies passengers, drivers in fatal combine crash
LAKE MILLS, Wis. — Officials have identified the drivers and passengers involved in a fatal wreck with a combine in Jefferson County on Friday night .
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said 74-year-old Donna J. Martin was operating a John Deere combine on County Road B in Lake Mills at about 7 p.m.
Brian J. Schantz, 57, of Cottage Grove, was driving a Toyota Rav4 when the two vehicles colided about a half-mile west of Stoney Creek Road.
Ildred G. Schantz, 90, of Cottage Grove, was riding in the front seat of the Rav4, and 60-year-old Alan I. Schantz, of Hawaii, was riding in the rear passenger-side seat.
The sheriff’s office said all three occupants in the SUV were killed.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office accident investigation team is continuing its investigation of the crash.
