Dane County home destroyed in Thursday morning fire

A home was destroyed in a fire early Thursday morning, causing an estimated $100,000 in damage.

TOWN OF RUTLAND, Wis. — A home was destroyed in a fire early Thursday morning, which caused around $100,00 in damages.

The Dane County Sheriff says the fire started just after midnight on the 4200 block of County Highway A in the Town of Rutland. By the time first responders got there, the fire was burning through the entire home.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire, but say they don’t think it’s suspicious. Several crews helped put out the fire.
