Senior Night has a happy ending

Badger women’s hockey picked to win WCHA

Wisconsin women’s hockey has struggled to score at LaBahn arena lately; failing to score more than two goals in six out of their last seven home games. Saturday against Minnesota-Duluth, the Badgers had no trouble scoring. They beat the Bulldogs 5-0.

Wisconsin started out fast, scoring three goals in the first period. Blayre Turnbull scored two goals and Annie Pankowski added another to give the Badgers a 3-0 lead at the first intermission.

Neither team scored in the second period. In the third, Turnbull added her third goal of the night, netting her first career hat trick. Emily Clark scored UW’s last goal to end the game at 5-0.

Wisconsin goalie Ann-Renee Desbiens tallied 20 saves in the win.
