Senior meal program to partner with Festival Foods
MADISON, Wis. — A Dane County meal program will partner with Festival Foods to try to provide more meals to older adults.
The My Meal, My Way program offers meals in restaurants to adults over 60. Through the program, people can order meals from restaurants and only pay what they can afford.
Dane County Executive Joe Parisi announced Thursday that the meal plan will be pairing with Festival Foods in Dane County to offer lunches.
Participants in the meal program will be able to make a plate of food at the salad bar in Festival Foods and order a bowl of soup. The lunch will be offered every Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Participants can request transportation.
Members of the North/Eastside Senior Coalition and the East Madison/Monona Coalition of the Aging will volunteer at the lunches.
Festival Foods is the fifth business to participate in My Meal, My Way, which is a donation-based program.
