Semi strikes school bus loaded with students, multiple patients taken via helicopter, WSP says
LODI, Wis. — Multiple people were taken via Med Flight from a crash between a school bus and a semi on Interstate 39 Wednesday morning, officials said.
Wisconsin State Patrol said four people where injured at 10:16 a.m. when a semi struck a school bus loaded with students at mile marker 122.
The students are from a Milwaukee-area private school, officials said. The bus was parked on the shoulder when it was struck.
At least 4 people were injured when a semi crashed into a school bus that was parked on the side of I-39/90. It was full of students from a #Milwaukee school. Students will be transported to the Wisconsin State Patrol De Forest Post for reunification, officials said.
Multiple lanes were closed as police worked at the scene and traffic was affected, causing backups of several miles, the DOT said. The road was reopen at 1:24 p.m.
