Semi overturns, spills milk in Green County crash, officials say
TOWN OF SPRING GROVE, Wis. — A semitrailer spilled its load of milk Monday after overturning during a crash in Green County, officials said.
Deputies were sent just after 10 p.m. with Brodhead First Response and Brodhead EMS to Highway 11 and County Road GG for reports of a semi that had overturned, according to a release.
Russell E. Clinton Sr., 70, of Evart, Michigan, was driving north on Highway 81, approaching the intersection of highways 81 and 11, when he failed to stop at the stop sign, investigators said.
The semi continued north onto County Road GG where it entered the ditch, overturned and spilled its load of milk, according to the release.
Clinton was taken to a hospital with injuries sustained in the crash, officials said. Airbags did not deploy and it is unknown if Clinton was wearing his seat belt.
