Semi driver dies after Caledonia crash

Police in Caledonia said the driver of a semitrailer died after a crash where a driver pulled in front of him, causing his truck to roll into a ditch.

The Journal Times of Racine reported Sunday that the Caledonia Police Department identified the driver as Jonathan W. Schweiss, 45, of Menomonee Falls.

The crash happened on Saturday afternoon when a Milwaukee woman pulled out in front of the truck.

Police said Schweiss was alert after the crash and was airlifted to a hospital but died a short while later.

The driver of the car was hospitalized with a laceration to her head.
