Search canceled for missing man in Lake Ellen
Man reported missing early Sunday morning
TOWN OF LYNDEN, Wis. — Sheboygan County authorities have called off the search for a 28-year-old Plymouth man who’s been missing since he fell out of a boat into Lake Ellen in eastern Wisconsin.
The sheriff’s office said in a statement Monday night that James Piechocki remained missing after a second day of searches, and no further searches are planned. It said officials will reevaluate that decision if new information comes to light.
Piechocki was reported missing at about 1 a.m. Sunday on the lake in the Town of Lyndon.
The search on Monday included members of the Sheboygan County/City Dive Team and the Milwaukee Fire Department Dive Team. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources brought in side-scan sonars to check the lake.
