Scoreboard raised at Bucks’ new arena
Construction remains on schedule
MILWAUKEE — Crews raised the new scoreboard at the Milwaukee Bucks new downtown arena Tuesday.
The state-of-the-art scoreboard covers over 3,900 square feet and weighs 71,000 pounds.
It’s full HD and has 9.4 million LED lights.
“It’s 25 feet tall by 29 feet wide on all four faces,” said Daktronics installation supervisor Matt Gregg. “There are 24 screens around with under bellies for the floor seats so they can actually watch up and watch the game on it.”
Bucks senior vice president Alex Lasry says construction of the new arena remains on schedule.
“In terms of regular construction update on where we are, we’re just about 80 percent done with nearly half the seats actually installed in the arena,” Lasry said.. “we’re on time and on budget. “
