Schools take precautions as Jakubowski manhunt continues
As the search for Joseph Jakubowski continues many school districts remain on high alert.
Jakubowski, 32, is accused of robbing a gun store and setting his own car on fire. He has not been seen since last Tuesday.
Authorities said Jakubowski was agitated by the political climate. He sent a 160-page manifesto to President Donald Trump and has made unspecified threats to schools and politicians.
Rock County Sheriff Cmdr.Troy Knudson said he touched base with a number of school officials this weekend to let them know the threat posed by Jakubowski continues. Fort Atkinson, Whitewater, Edgerton and Jefferson school districts will all operate on a soft lockdown. Milton, Janesville, Parkview school districts are all out on spring break.
