Schools in Slinger locked down after gun threat from student, suspect in custody, no gun found
SLINGER, Wis. — Schools in the Village of Slinger, located northwest of Milwaukee, locked down Friday due to a threat.
Slinger Middle School, Slinger High School and Slinger Elementary all went into lockdown after a middle school student yelled that they had a gun, officials told parents in an email.
“We believe this may have been a case of a foolish statement coming from a possibly joking manner,” officials wrote.
According to a report from CBS58 in Milwaukee, law enforcement found no gun at the scene and a suspect was taken into custody.
