Sauk Prairie/Dodgeville heads to Babe Ruth World Series
The Sauk Prairie/Dodgeville Babe Ruth co-op advanced to the 16-18-year-old division World Series, to be held this weekend in Klamath Falls, Ore.
The team was an unlikely regional champion. They didn’t even qualify for the regional. They got in because they hosted the event last week, and tournament hosts get an automatic berth.
The underdogs went on to win the Ohio Valley Regional championship, dethroning reigning state champion Ashland in the process.
Sauk Prairie/Dodgeville plays the Southwest regional champions Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Klamath Falls.
