Sauk County woman drove impaired with 2-year-old in vehicle, facing 3rd OWI, police say
REEDSBURG, Wis. — A woman is accused of driving impaired with a toddler in the vehicle in Sauk County on Wednesday, officials said.
The Reedsburg Police Department said police responded at about 5 p.m. to a report from a concerned citizen of a vehicle on Myrtle Street driving all over the road, nearly causing a crash.
According to the report, an officer found the vehicle and stopped the driver near the intersection of North Dewey Avenue and 22nd Street.
Megan M. Lemoine, 36, of La Valle, was arrested on suspicion of third-offense operating while intoxicated.
Police said a 2-year-old child was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop.
The report said Lemoine was taken to the Sauk County Jail and held on tentative charges of third-offense OWI with a passenger under 16 years old, operating after revocation, failure to install an ignition interlock device, second-degree recklessly endangering safety and resisting an officer.
Lemoine was also cited on suspicion of possession of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, the report said.
