Sauk City man killed from single vehicle crash

MADISON, Wis. — A single vehicle crash on County Trunk Highway 188 Saturday morning resulted in the death of the driver.

According to police the driver was a 30-year-old man from Sauk City who was not wearing a seatbelt. The name of the deceased has not been released at this time.

The man was driving a 2003 Chevy Silverado around 5 am on Saturday morning, when the car lost control causing it to roll away from the roadway. Police said that without a seatbelt the man was ejected from the car during the crash.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.

The crash occured in the town of Roxbury. The man was driving south on CTH 188 when he lost control.

The crash is still being investigated by police. They say suspected factors of the crash were alcohol and speed.
