Sandy Kotte, age 55, of Dodgeville, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Upland Hills Health following a 14 month battle with cancer. The former Sandy Halverson was born on August 24, 1956 in Dodgeville to Doral and Maxine (Reeves) Halverson and graduated from the Potosi High School. Sandy married Kenneth Kotte of Highland on February 16, 1974. They farmed in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois before returning to the Ridgeway/Dodgeville area in 1999. Sandy also worked as a C.N.A. at area nursing homes and enjoyed working in the Deli at Piggly Wiggly. Sandy enjoyed time spent outdoors with her family, whether hunting, fishing or camping. She also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and her favorite movie, Mama Mia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Halverson.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Ken of Dodgeville; three sons, Jason Kotte of Dodgeville; Kenneth Kotte Jr. of Albany, WI and Justin Kotte (Nanette Pflieger) of Dodgeville; two sisters, Sherry Brunner (Dan Champeau) of Port Washington and Bonnie Halverson of Oshkosh as well as many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Dodgeville United Methodist Church with Pastor Rom A. Pegram officiating. Inurnment will be in East Side Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 5:30 P.M. until the time of services.
