Ryan says Burke trying to win by default
PRAIRIE DU SAC, Wis. — U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan says Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke is trying to win by default by getting voters to hate Republican Gov. Scott Walker.
Ryan campaigned with Walker on Wednesday and made the comments after a stop at Mid-State Equipment in Prairie du Sac.
Both Walker and Ryan are considering runs for president in 2016, but they say they have not talked about it.
Ryan said they are focused on Tuesday’s election.
Walker said that he thinks the election will be close and he’s not conceding any votes.
Walker said he came to Mid-State because he thought it was a good omen given that he appeared at the company’s Janesville location just before winning the 2012 recall election.
