Ruth Ann Reeve
Ruth Ann Reeve, age 86, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family after a stroke.
She was born at home in Arena on Jan. 29, 1931 to the late Hugh and Violet (Coldwell) Roberts. Ruth graduated from Arena High School; class of 1949. She was united in marriage to Ralph W. “Whitey” Reeve on Oct. 29, 1950; he preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 1995. Ruth loved her home, her flowers and the birds; her door was always open to friends and her family. She enjoyed playing cards and euchre, cheering on the Packers and any Badgers sports, but, most of all spending time with her family meant the most to her.
Ruth is survived by her 3 children, Dale, Jerry, and Roxanne (Steve) Shain; grandchildren, Joe Reeve, Jennie Reeve-Kraemer, Kyle (Natalie) Reeve, Tyler Olson, Trisha Olson, Tania (Aaron) Jacobus; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Lucas, and Mollie Ruth Ann Kraemer, Vera Reitano, Sydney and Kendal Reeve; her sister, Jean (Bill Powell) Farris; sister in-laws, Lois O’Connell and Judy (Denny) Angle; and brother in-laws, Don (Janet) Reeve, and Larry (Bob Anderson) Reeve; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Reeve.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon on May 13, 2017 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Hwy 14 West, Mazomanie. A celebration of Ruth’s life will follow at Grandma Mary’s Cafe, 175 U.S. Hwy 14, Arena. A private interment will be held at the Mazomanie Cemetery.
Ruth’s family would like to thank the staff of Agrace Hospice, and Dr. Amy Grelle for their wonderful care; and granddaughter Trisha Olson who without her Ruth would not have been able to stay at home. Memorials may be made in Ruth’s name to Agrace Hospice.
