Russell Pomplun, age 54, of Evansville, died on June 1, 2014, at Agrace HospiceCare, Inc., Fitchburg, WI. He was born in Rockford on May 16, 1960. He served in the U.S. Army, and married Barbara J. Fields in Janesville in 2007.
Russell is survived by his wife, Barbara Pomplun; Daniel’s son, Austin Fitzgerald, 4 children: Willy (Reva) Wunder and their children, Mylssa, Hayden and Loreli, Chad (Bonnie) Pomplun, Amber Hovde and her child, Nathanial, and Russell Pomplun and his family; mother, Nancy (Jim) Allen; 3 brothers: Kenneth (Darlene) Pomplun, Emil Pomplun and Wayne (Karrie) Pomplun; mother-in-law, Barb Youderin; brother-in-law, Ed (Mic) Youderin; 2 sisters-in-law, Kim Conley and Stephanie (Mike) Ingram; many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey; son, Daniel Fitzgerald; and granddaughter, Shaylee, and the mother of his children, Kathy Harrington.
A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014, at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY with Rev. Joel Otto officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME.
Russell was a loving and caring man with a gentle heart that most did not see,
and who helped raise and teach Daniel’s son Austin with devoted love.
