Ruby I. Temby
Ruby Irene Temby, 89, of Darlington formerly of Rewey died on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at her home in Darlington.
Private family graveside services will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Platteville. Pastor Dave Ritchie will officiate. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church, Rewey, or to Upland Hills Hospice, Dodgeville. Ruby was born on April 16, 1923 in Platteville, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Alma (Knebel) Sporle. She was united in marriage to Wallace W. Temby on August 26, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI. He preceded her in death on February 26, 2011. Ruby was a stenographer until she stayed at home to raise her three children. She later worked for Farm & Fleet in Platteville in bookkeeping until her retirement. She was a 4-H leader and taught Sunday school for many years. She enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, gardening, card club and gambling at the casino. Ruby especially loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Connie McIntyre of Darlington; Candice (Mike Haluska) McReynolds of Kansasville, WI; Craig (Deb) Temby of Darlington; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Sherman Sporle of Madison. She was preceded in death also by her parents, four brothers, and a daughter-in-law.
