Roy Warren Scott
MADISON/CAMERON-Roy W. Scott, age 75, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at UW Hospital.
He was born in 1939 in northern Wisconsin, the son of Roy and Clara (Withee) Scott. He married Barbara Krug on June 18, 1960, in Cameron, Wis. Roy served in the military and was stationed in Germany for a time. He attended business school in Milwaukee and afterwards, became self-employed with Mobile Oil. Roy was also a welder and mechanic for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and traveling. Together Roy and Barbara traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, and most national parks in the U.S. and Canada. Roy especially enjoyed his trips to Prince Edward Island in Canada, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Alberta, British Columbia and fishing trips to Ontario.
Roy is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Pamela Scott and Melanie (Doug) Krause; grandchildren, Braedon and Mckenna Krause; and brother, Bob (Karen) Scott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leanard and Clara Gould; sister, Mary (Scott) Librande; and his son, Rory Scott.
Funeral services will be held at CITY CHURCH, 4909 E Buckeye Rd, Madison, at Noon, on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
