Roy L. Flogel
Roy Leo Flogel died on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 at his home in Madison.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Platteville. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Platteville, at a later date. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass at the church. Memorials may be made to the Roy L. Flogel Memorial Fund.

Roy was born on September 7, 1931 in Paris Township, Grant County, son of John and Eleanora (Conter) Flogel. Roy was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, Madison. He took great pride in making almost 5000 rosaries, which he did every day, for family, friends and to give to his church and students who attended Catholic Schools. He enjoyed music, and as a young man he attended many water shows in Wisconsin Dells and Christmas Shows in Monroe.
He is survived by his brothers, Jack Flogel of Platteville; Bob (Lorraine) Flogel of Belmont, WI; Henry (Delores) Flogel of Mazomanie, WI; sister, Ruth (Rick Owen) Roling of DeWitt, IA; sister-in-law, Grace Flogel of Platteville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Frances, sisters, Olive Wiederholt, Charlotte Miller, Celeste Wissing, Rosemary Gassman and Luella “Lou” Vosberg.
