Roxanne Deluna, age 61, of Madison, passed away on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at UW Hospital. She was born on Nov. 26, 1955, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Asencion Joseph and Rebecca (Magon) Deluna. In 1977, Roxanne was employed with the social security office in Madison. She was the “go to” person for both clients and co-workers and could solve any problem. Roxanne had a huge personality, she was witty, compassionate, intelligent, and independent. During her interesting life, Roxanne studied film and film making while living in Italy and Greece. She was an avid reader and spoke several languages.
Roxanne is survived by sisters, Denise Hernandez Deluna and Marie Claire Deluna and Dennis Ferrarini; and nephews, nieces and great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Roxanne’s Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017. A memorial gathering will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish.
