Rose Ann Wade
JANESVILLE—Rose Ann Wade, age 92, of Janesville, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at her home. She was born in Fort Atkinson on Oct. 9, 1919, the daughter of Nicholas and Eva (Hulick) Fuczyla and was a 1938 graduate of Janesville High School. She graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing at Mercy Hospital and then served as a 2nd LT in the US Army Nursing Corp from Jan. 1942 – Dec. 1944. Rose married Ellis B. Wade in July 1944. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1947. She was employed by Mercy Hospital as a nurse for 38 years before retiring in 1982. Rose was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Mercy School of Nursing Alumni. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Michael Wade and Georgianna “Jan” (James) Chesmore both of Janesville; 5 grandchildren: Cyndi Russell, Michelle (Michael) DeRubeis, Nannette Chesmore, Juliette (Wayne) Braukhoff and Nicholas Chesmore; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; a sister, Sr. Mary Annelle RSM of Aurora, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 sisters: Ann McDonald, Mary Wuksinich, Katherine Betz, and Julie Lucey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH, Janesville, with Fr. James Kuhn officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH. Memorials may be made to the Wm S. Middleton Veterans Memorial Hospital, Madison. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY is assisting the family with arrangements.
