Roger S. Chapman
Roger S. Chapman, 77, of Cuba City, WI passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2014 at home surrounded by his family.
Private family graveside services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 15th at Mifflin Cemetery in Mifflin, WI with Rev. Nelson Perkinson officiating. Military rites will be accorded at the cemetery. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.
Roger was born on July 26, 1936 to William & Ruby Chapman in Zion, IL. He graduated from Zion Benton High School in 1954 and also from Moody Bible Institute. He was a US Air Force Veteran serving from 1955-1959. He married Lois J. Colin on June 4, 1960 in Glena, IL. Roger worked at Johnson Motors and then taught flying at K Airway and then at Kenosha Airport for over 25 yrs. as a manager. He later worked at Perigon Systems as an electrical controller. He was a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church and Platteville Area Modelers. He enjoyed flying airplanes, target shooting, turkey hunting, riding his motorcycle, but most of all spent with his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Roger is survived by his wife, Lois; 2 sons: Keith Chapman of Kenosha, WI and Aaron Chapman of Genoa City, WI; and one granddaughter, Quinn Louise Chapman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Chapman.
In lieu of flowers a Roger S. Chapman Memorial Fund has been established.
